Suspension & Shocks
The suspension system of a vehicle consists of the springs located in the front and back of the vehicle. Its main function is keeping the car firm and steady on the road surface resulting in steering stability, and at the same time providing a comfortable ride.
The main purpose of shocks on a vehicle is to control the overall body movement or sway. Also to keep permanent contact between the tyres and the road surface when cornering or braking.
The struts keep the car balanced and flat on the road surface as they support the suspension springs. Together with brakes and tyres these components are important for the safety of your vehicle.
Although you cannot see that the shocks on your vehicle is worn, you can certainly feel it. We advise that you watch out for signs of worn shocks because it can save your life as well as that of your family.
Signs of worn shocks:
- Vibration on the steering wheel
- The vehicle nose-dives when braking
- Smooth patches on the tyres
- The vehicle overly pulls to one side especially when encountering a side-wind
- Excessive bouncing on rough surface
- Oil leaking from the shocks
We offer a 3 year warranty on shocks.
